I remember being cheated by a young fellow once, he took some money from me to buy a spare part and did not get me the part nor returned my money. It was a small amount compared to what I waste on useless purchases that I make on discount sales. But it rankled me so much, I was not able to let go of that indignant anger for a long time. It is so unnerving to be cheated. More than the loss of money, what is so upsetting about being cheated is the inherent vulnerability.
